I don't have any problems calling from Europe, so I don't see a reason why you couldn't do the same.
Other story is sending SMS messages to mobile in Brasil, there are always problems with this.

Yes you can call to cell phones in brazil from US your best bet is to buy a phone card by a third party company in corner store and use it to get lower rates.

Choose card that allows you to connect with out a large connect fee.

If you are sure you will talk to someone a long time use a valu plus type card that is for one time two hour talk.

Cell phone connect can be more expensive but its not a bad fee for service.

You won´t believe it but here in Brazil it´s possible to do all 3 kinds of phonecalls with one telephone. :bandan

calling Brazil

Postby kkeeton » Tue Mar 23, 2004 10:42 am

Do you need to use different country/city codes to call a cell phone in Rio from the US? I'm sticking the usual 1 011 55 21 in front of a cellular number that worked fine when I was there 2 days ago. Any suggestions?

works fine for me... just punch in the brasil & rio code plus the cell number and thats it...

i've got a different problem... i've been trying to send my girlfriend SMS Messages, but she says that she never gets any of them.

WHATS UP WITH THAT?

anyways anybody got any suggestions how i can send sms's from my phone or maybe through an internet site like Breathe (for English cellphones) or the Orange site (for Orange network phones)?

any help with that would be really appreciated
