Angie Martinez isnt ugly. I think she's cute in a ghetto emcee type of way. Now, my very first girlfriend I ever had(back in h.s.) was a puerto rican but she was very much a lighter skinned puerto rican who pass for white. She had an very big bunda and said "papi" a whole damn lot, so I knew she was latina. She's obviously puerto rican..I so I guessed.."You puerto rican?" "Si." she said. All the puerto rican girls I have met or known since than looked dramatically different..I've met quite a few black or mulatto puerto ricans. Boricuas are one group in America you cant label. Ive seen all shades...Ive met ghetto and poor, rich, and i met ones who hang around all whites and some who hang around all blacks. Puerto Ricans have alot of diversity within thier culture. She had African facial features (thicker lips, wider, stubby nose), curly hair, a nice "bubble butt"...

Regarding patterns of skin color in certain geographic regions. I did notice a lot of black folks in Florida and North Carolina were of a "darker" skin tone. Ofcourse I think when we make these statements we maybe be compare it (subconsciously) with our own.

Anyway what does it matter? My father is Half Italian and VIn Diesel's complexion with curly "Greg Brady" hair on 5'7". My mother is 5'3" and has Jada Pinkett's complexion. But Guess what, I'm 6'2" , Denzel washington brown with hair on the nappy side. SO it goes to show appearance is hard to predict.... Light +Light don't always equal light. Light+dark don't always = in between. I'm sure you get the point.

Hugo, I have too noticed that the Miami Hurricanes have some very, very dark players. The only light guy on that team is Kellen Winslow jr. He also has straight hair. Actually all of the Florida schools have very dark players.

LOL, Marina plenty of PR's with blond and red afros, but again trying to tell someone who seems to think that because hmm 4 people agrees with their comments thats somehow the truth. I was telling my ex college roomate whose a black chica from Pembroke Pines (Broward Country/Fort Lauderdale area) that someone seems to think the majority of blacks in Florida are dark, she nearly died from laughter. For some reason she seems to think that there the majority of blacks are "redbones" in Florida lol.

Im going to have to say stereotypically..Florida does have dark black people. Of course people f**k eachother..people get lighter..things change.I do agree that natives of Florida may tan more and that could heavily effect how dark some of the blacks are there.
